Where are intentional killings rarest?

Singapore leads on homicides at 0.07 per 100k; Czechia is last of the 15 shown at 0.77 per 100k.

The homicide rate is the one crime statistic counted the same way almost everywhere, which is why it is the comparison this site uses rather than survey-based fear-of-crime indices. It is a count of intentional killings; it says nothing about pickpocketing, scams or road deaths, which shape most travellers' actual risk far more.

Only observations at the newest World Bank vintage (2023 or later) are ranked. A country whose latest figure is older is left out rather than shown as if current — the United Kingdom, whose newest published figure predates the floor, is absent for exactly that reason, not because it is dangerous.

The safest-countries page elsewhere on this site scores the same source into a 0–100 livability figure; this page is the raw rate with its year, for information only.
