About Geo-Parity

Geo-Parity is a free suite of geographic-parity tools for remote work, global pay and travel — what your money is really worth abroad, a cost-of-living-fair salary, how far savings stretch, visa and tax-residency limits, cross-timezone meeting overlap, and lowest-latency cloud regions.

Why it exists

Money doesn't mean the same thing in every country, and most online calculators quietly assume the United States. Geo-Parity treats every country as a first-class home base: pick where you are, and every figure is shown in your own currency, on real purchasing-power data. The goal is honest, comparable numbers for people living and working across borders — and for the AI agents increasingly doing that research on their behalf.

What's inside

Built for humans and AI agents

Every tool is also a machine-readable service. Each has an open JSON API (CORS-enabled, no key required) and an MCP tool, so an AI assistant can answer "what's a fair Berlin salary for a $120k US role?" directly. The capability index lives at /llms.txt, the tool manifest at /.well-known/mcp.json, and the full specification at /openapi.json.

Data & methodology

Price levels and purchasing-power figures are blended from the World Bank, the IMF World Economic Outlook, OECD and the Penn World Table, taken as a per-country median and refreshed at build time. Other tools draw on published wage data, passport visa-free access indices, and quality-of-life indicators (internet speed, safety, healthcare, air quality). Every result is a model estimate, not a quote — see the Terms for the full disclaimer.

How it's funded

Geo-Parity is free to use, and the JSON API stays open and key-free. Funding comes from two places. First, optional paid plans — Pro, higher API limits, and a one-off dataset — billed through Stripe. Second, affiliate and sponsored links to relevant services (global payroll, nomad insurance, money transfer, and similar), where the operator may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Neither changes the underlying data or which option a calculation recommends: paying gets you convenience, never different numbers. Full detail is in the Affiliate & Sponsorship Disclosure.
