# Where is the air cleanest?

Brunei leads on air quality at 100/100; Ireland is last of the 15 shown at 96/100.

Air quality is the factor people research last and notice first. It is also one of the few that is measured consistently worldwide, which makes it unusually reliable to compare.

Like every national figure here it hides enormous variation: a country can have clean air on average and a capital city that does not. If a specific city matters to you, check it directly.
